Keeping my eyes open because I want to watch Reece come, I lean down and seal my lips to his, sucking his tongue into my mouth – not letting him go.

Donovan’s hands slide from my waist, up to my breasts and he starts to pinch, roll and pull my nipples. I want to shut my eyes, but I can’t. I stare into Reece’s passion filled eyes as he uses his hands on my hips to move me up and down his dick. Donovan catches the movement and starts to slide back and forth into my ass with each flex of my hips.

My whole body is tingling, even my scalp. The only sounds, which can be heard, are skin against skin, heavy breathing and the occasional cuss or groan. I feel as though I’m about to detonate, my stomach muscles begin to quiver and tighten…and then I’m coming…

“Ahhh…Oh God,” I scream. The muscles in my pussy and ass are clamping and quivering around the two cocks in so much pleasure I’m not sure where I stop and they begin.

Then Reece holds me still as he starts to jerk with his release, and he isn’t the only one as I feel Donovan jerking in my ass. He growls as he does shallow pumps with his hips before slowly withdrawing and collapsing on the bed to the side of us.

The whole time, my eyes have been locked on to Reece, who is having problems catching his breath. Not once since he entered me did we break eye contact.

  ~ * ~

After the decadent afternoon spent with Donovan and Reece, I’d gone down to Ryder’s and spent the evening with Thalia while we watched Deception on stage. The guys had been hot as hell up there, especially Reece who I couldn’t keep my eyes off. Oh, they’d both given me an afternoon to remember, but it had been the evening after we’d all left the bar, which was even more memorable.

Reece had wanted me to himself and made it clear to Donovan that he wasn’t to touch me again. In fact, he’d been damn possessive.

Arriving back at my room, he’d fucked me six ways to Sunday. I sigh at the memories we created last night as I feel his hands slide over me. His kisses press against my stomach as he watches my reaction. His eyes search my face as though he’s trying to memorize me. Trying to burn this gentle lovemaking into his mind so he can never forget.

My brow furrows at the thought, but before I can form the question, Reece sweeps me into the eroticism of his embrace and I’m lost to everything except his words and his touch.

The shrill sound of a phone ringing pulls me from the delight of Reece as he stiffens. Jumping off the bed, he unlocks his phone, and raises it to his ear, saying, “Dahlia.”

He gives me one last, longing look before turning his back to me to keep me from hearing his conversation. He dresses while he talks before grabbing his bag and leaving without one look or word in my direction.

He just left. Tears sting my eyes and I can’t believe that he just left like that. I swallow down the hurt threatening to crash over me. Even if there was an emergency at home or elsewhere, at least he could have said something. And who the hell is Dahlia? I’d never heard that name before, but then again I’ve only known Reece since yesterday so I suppose that’s to be expected. But why the fuck did he leave without saying a damn word?

Well I do know one thing, and that is I’m through with him. Nobody spends all night in my bed, and then wakes me up like a lover only to leave in the middle of our naked play without a word.

“The bastard,” I growl out as my tears finally arrive…

  Part 2

  October

  Chapter 1

  Callie

Eight weeks, two days and three hours. That’s the time it’s been since I last spoke to Reece. It was at Liam and Mia’s wedding and while I’d spent most of the day with Donovan, while trying to avoid being alone with Reece, I could still count the very seconds since I talked to him. Oh, he’d tried to talk to me at the wedding, but I wasn’t having any of it. He destroyed me leaving in the middle of sex to run off to another woman without one word to me.

I’d felt a connection with him from the first moment we met and it was only stronger after the afternoon spent with both Reece and Donovan. It had been Reece who, after one kiss, I’d craved like a drug.

I’ve seen him around, but we’ve not spoken. Once or twice I’ve felt his eyes on me, and looked around only to find him standing not too far away, totally transfixed on me. My heart catching every damn time.

I’m still hurt about what he did, and I’m also pissed because I find myself looking for Reece in any other guy who tries to pick me up. Which is such a pain in the fucking ass, not to mention frustrating as hell.

Well, my frustration is about to pick up a notch because Thalia and Phoenix have managed to persuade me to go and watch Deception perform on stage at a club called Kenza here in Lexington tonight. The guys have performed there about three times over the past six weeks and Thalia tells me they’re becoming popular with the Lexington crowd.

I was adamant that I didn’t want to see them on stage, but Thalia had convinced me by telling me one of my favorite groups were going to be there as well, Rebel Walking. That news basically sealed the deal.

Phoenix had driven us both here, and what a hell of a long car journey it was too, but finally arriving at our hotel and checking in didn’t leave us too long to shower and change. In fact, Phoenix had helped us up to our rooms, which are across the hall from each other, then ran to meet the guys at the club to set up.

And that is where I find myself, standing in the bathroom after a quick shower. Pebbles of water still cling to my hair as I stand in my bra and panties while trying to apply make-up. Butterflies dance in my stomach and I wonder whether or not Reece knows I’m going to be there tonight, and if he does, how will he feel about me being in his space.

  Thump, thump.

I jump at the sound of someone banging on the door – probably Thalia.

  “Callie, open the door.”

That’s Thalia for you, Miss. Impatient as well as my best friend and Phoenix’s fiancée. They were a cute couple, but sometimes embarrassing to be seen with in public. They couldn’t walk for five minutes without sticking their tongues down each other’s throats.

Grabbing a towel, I wrap it around myself just in case someone is passing in the hall. As soon as I start to open the door, Thalia elbows her way in, coming up short when she takes in my attire, her lips twisting into a frown. “Why aren’t you ready?” With a quick glance at her watch then back at me, she huffs out a breath. “I knew I should have told you thirty minutes earlier than what I did. You’d have been ready on time.”

Shaking my head, I disappear back into the bathroom to finish applying my mascara. Once finished, I flick my blonde hair over my shoulders and take a look at myself. I’ve always been pleased with my figure. Not that I’m arrogant about it, but my curvy hips and slim waist are nicely accentuated by my ample breasts. Unfortunately, since the morning I spent with Reece, my confidence has taken a beating and I’ve started doubting myself. Was it something I’d done? Some way that I looked? That made him leave the way he did.

Breathing deeply, I try to get back in control because tonight is going to be difficult, more so than I’ve admitted to anyone.

I can do this. I can really do this. Fuck!

Giving myself one last look in the mirror, I run my comb through my now dry hair and take a deep breath of reassurance.

I walk back out to the room and watch as Thalia lies back on my bed with her cell in hand. “What’s he saying?”

She laughs. “He says to tell you to get dressed and to get our skinny asses down to the club. He’s left passes at the door for us.” Swinging her legs from the bed, she sits up, and says, “It’s going to be okay, Callie. I don’t know what’s going on with him. I’ve seen him these past weeks and I don’t know what’s really going on, but I do know he’s missing you. Whenever your name’s mentioned he always leaves the room.” She shakes her head. “Let’s just go and get there, okay?” Smirking, she adds, “I’ll get Phoenix to introduce you to Luke, that should piss Reece off.”

  P
ulling my new, short denim skirt on, I say, “I don’t want to piss him off. He has his reasons for doing what he did. Yeah, I’m still hung up on him and what he did hurts. It hurts a lot.”

I fasten the skirt and shove my arms into a deep purple tank. It comes to a stop just above my belly button. I meet Thalia’s eyes. “If I had an explanation for why he did what he did, then, maybe I’d be able to move on. But seeing him around town and knowing he’s purposely ignoring me is like a knife to my chest.”

Slipping my feet into my cowboy boots, I watch as Thalia walks over to the window and looks out into the night. She’s always there for me, through thick and thin, no matter what. My beautiful, dark haired best friend has no idea how much attention she draws to herself. I grin thinking about Phoenix’s reaction when he sees her tonight. Although I haven’t been to a Deception gig since the summer in Alabama, Thalia’s told me how he reacts when guys come around her while he’s on stage.

A couple of weeks ago they’d had one hell of an argument. Apparently, a guy was trying to pick her up while Phoenix was singing and in the middle of his song, he’d stopped and told the fucker “to get his hands off his girl.” Thalia had been pissed that he hadn’t let her handle it; instead he’d brought attention on her, which she hates. I’d ended up plugging my ears with my buds and listened to Pink so I couldn’t hear them making up.

Practically ready to leave, I walk back into the bathroom to apply my lipstick and with one final look in the mirror I’m ready. Well, I’m physically ready, whether I’m mentally ready to face Reece is another matter.

“Callie, please tell me you’re ready?” Thalia leans against the doorway.

“Yeah, I’m ready. How are we getting there?”

She looks away, and says, “Let’s go,” moving away from the door.

I grab my purse and stand, unmoving in the room with my hands on my hips waiting for her to turnaround.

“Dammit Callie. It’s two blocks from the hotel so I thought we could walk and get a bit of fresh air, you know.”

This isn’t good. “I don’t mind walking, but, um, what about Phoenix? He’s going to shitabrick when he finds out we walked. You know that right?” I get moving as she opens the door.

“He won’t ‘shitabrick’ as you quite eloquently put it, if you don’t tell him.” She grins at me. I roll my eyes.

We step into the elevator. “I’m not going to say anything. I have enough trouble with his friend without adding your hunk to the list.”

“Hmm.” With a dreamy look on her face, she leans against the mirrored wall inside this moving cage.

I try not to think about being in here too much before I start to hyperventilate. I do not do well in confined spaces, especially in the middle of crowds. Real tight packed crowds that is. I’m okay if there’s some room to breathe. In fact, I’m only going tonight because we have passes to go backstage with the guys, which also makes me feel sick. Why? Reece.

  “He is a hunk.”

I blink, trying to remember what we were talking about. Phoenix!

The elevator doors open. Stepping out, I say, over my shoulder, “He’s not as well built as Reece.”

“Oh please.” Catching up to me, she gives me a sideways look. “I can’t believe you’re throwing him in my face after what he did to you.”

“Me either. God, I need a drink.” I wrap my arm around Thalia’s as we walk outside the hotel. “We can get drinks backstage right? Please tell me we can.”

“Callie, you’re being an idiot. It’s a club. What do you think they serve? Orange juice?”

  Chapter 2

  Reece

Sprawled across the sofa in the room we’ve been given to chill out in, I try to ignore Phoenix’s nerves. At least that’s what I’m putting his pacing down to. I have my ball cap pulled low over my eyes, but I can still see his fucking shadow.

I count to ten in my head before I explode. Pulling my cap lower, I close my eyes, but when I do I still see Callie, shock filling her face when I walked out and left her without a word. She’s plagued my damn dreams since, which is a fucker. The only way to forget the last image I saw of her is to get drunk so I sleep like the dead because if I’m sober the minute my eyes shut she’s there. Sitting on the bed in her room back in the hotel in Alabama with the sheet clutched in her hands, covering her breasts. Her blonde hair cascading down her back all messy because of my fingers, her lips all red and swollen from my kisses.

She’s my obsession. I’ve never been plagued with dreams about someone I’ve fucked before. But Callie. I can’t get her out of my fucking head. Half the time she acted so innocent and the other half she acted so fucking hot that she blew my mind. Sweet beautiful Callie. I royally fucked up and my breathing picks up imagining her with someone else. I literally see red when I think about her naked and someone else putting his mouth, hands and body on – in hers. “Sonovabitch!” I jump up off the sofa, crashing straight into Phoenix.

“What the fucks your problem?” His eyes flash at the opportunity to get into it with me and I can tell that he’s pissed.

He usually isn’t in the best of moods until he has Thalia with him. Which come to think about it, why isn’t she with him now?

I frown. Only just realizing she’s usually here by now. “Where’s Thalia?”

Phoenix quickly looks at Donovan before looking back to me. What the fucks going on?

Looking between the pair of them, my nerves tighten and I just know they’re going to say the last thing I want to hear.

“I’m getting outta here.” Phoenix is out the door before I can even blink.

Donovan starts to fidget and won’t meet my eyes when I turn toward him.

“Fuckin’ bastard.” I stare at him. “Tell me I’m wrong.”

Looking resigned, Donovan stands and faces me, his feet shift into a fighting stance as though he’s expecting me to rush him. “I can’t. Thalia and Phoenix talked her into coming up here. It’s not fair to her, having to stay away from her friends because you fucked up.” He shakes his head and his eyes narrow as my fists clench in frustration. “If it’s any consolation, they only managed to get her up here because she has a thing for Luke. So you don’t have anything to worry about. She’ll be throwing herself at Luke’s feet instead, so basically, you’re off the hook.”

Luke? Gritting my teeth, I snarl, “Who the fuck is Luke?” Trying not to lose my temper with Donovan.

“Rebel Walking. One of her favorite bands.” He shrugs his shoulders. “Why are you bothered? You left her in the middle of well…you know. So why are you bothered who Luke is?”

“Stop playing with my fuckin’ head. You don’t know what the shit you’re talking about.” I can feel my fists clenching all of their own accord and rage flows through me. I have an almost uncontrollable urge to hit something…even him if he keeps talking.

Donovan takes a warning step forward, his eyes fill with his own rage, but it does nothing to quell my urge to hit him. “Reece, you need to face the fact, you screwed up big time. She deserved to be treated ten times better than the way you treated her. She trusted you and you blew it. You don’t have any say who she goes with.” With that, he takes a step back and moves across the room, but I can still see his anger in the tightness of his stance.

My lip curls in derision. It’s a good move on his part as my fists are itching to be used. I try to breathe, but there isn’t enough oxygen in the room. I feel as though I’m suffocating.

Settling for shoving my cap back on my head, I glare at him. “I’m glad you told me about Luke.” His eyes narrow. “Perhaps I’ll tap one of the groupies tonight. Been a while.”

Before he can say anything, I slam out of the room and ignore the angry shouts coming from the door behind me. He said his bit and I’m done listening to him.

Callie is a thorn in my side. Since I’ve been with her I haven’t been with anyone else. I’ve tried, but she’s under my skin and I need her out. I’m not good enough for her; that’s
what it basically comes down to, and it’s killing me.

Looking around as I’m walking toward the back exit, I spot the same chick who was trying to get my attention when we first arrived. Changing direction, I walk towards her with purpose and see her frown change into a grin splitting her face. She’s okay in the look’s department, with dark hair and she is wearing the shortest dress in history. One wrong move and she’ll be showing her ass among other things. That fact doesn’t bother me because all I want is to have her on her knees while she sucks me off.

I’m a bastard, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to get off if I see her face. She isn’t Callie. Fuck! I need her once and for all out of my head. She’s driving me fuckshit crazy.

“Hey gorgeous. Want to join me?” I ask, ignoring what’s going on around me before I lose the balls to carry through with this chick.

Pushing out her chest, she replies, “What do you think?”

She closes the distance between us in what must be her version of seductive – her back arching slightly to give me a better view of her ample cleavage. She rubs her tits against my chest while caressing over my abs with the fake nails of her one hand. I capture her hand before she reaches my jeans. The words whisper through my head in warning. She’s not Callie.

Oh, what the fuck. I take hold of her head, sealing our lips together. Her tongue seeks entrance into my mouth and I open up. Her hands are all over me while she rubs against me. Her nipples are digging into my chest as her one leg slides up my thigh to wrap around me. I’d have to be a eunuch to not get a reaction in my jeans.

Reaching out to steady her, my hands land on her ass, which I squeeze and pull her tighter against me.

Hearing a gasp that cuts through the foreplay I’m enjoying, I freeze. Pulling my mouth away from the chicks, I glance over my shoulder where the sound came from and see Callie standing not too far away with tears in her eyes.
